I’m a machine learning engineer based in New York, working on the systems that decide what people see — ranking, search, and recommendations. I’m currently a Senior ML Engineer at Patreon.
I’ve spent my career building production ML across Patreon, Amazon, Lyft, and Yelp: learned ranking models, large-scale search, LLM-powered features, and the data and serving infrastructure that holds it all together. I’m most at home in the space where machine learning, software engineering, and data engineering overlap — turning research ideas into systems that actually ship and move the metrics that matter.
This blog is where I think out loud. I write deep, from-scratch explanations of the things I’m building and learning: LLM internals, ML systems design, and the craft of writing good Python — the kind of posts I wish I’d had when I was first figuring these things out.
